Red Dot Design Award for Husqvarna's technical helmet

Husqvarna’s technical helmet received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in the category “Best of the Best”. Since 2012, Husqvarna Group has received a total of 16 awards, five of them being in the “Best of the Best” category.

Working closely with forestry professionals has helped ensure that Husqvarna Group manufactures safe and functional products for end-users, without sacrificing performance. The lightweight protective helmet with ear protection has been designed around the user for superior performance. It is adjustable in several ways, has an innovative ventilation system and a redesigned visor.

Earlier this year, Husqvarna Group received Stora Designpriset for Husqvarna Technical Extreme, work wear for people working in the forest.

This prestigious Red Dot award, founded in 1955 by Design Zentrum Nordrhein-Westfalen in Germany, is acclaimed globally, with the jury comprising of renowned design experts of international repute from all over the world. Each product is rated on criteria such as innovation, functionality, self-explanatory, quality and environmental compatibility.

“We are very proud to win yet another Red Dot Design Award this year, especially in the “Best of the Best” category, says Rajinder Mehra, Brand Design Manager, Husqvarna brand. Everyone in the design, engineering and manufacturing departments have worked really hard, and I think this win belongs to all of us!”
